The New Education Society was established on 1st February 1921 by some of the devoted, perfect nationalist and noble people like Mr. Wadikar, Mr. Sathe, Mr. Shrikhande, Mr. Joshi, Mr. Khebudkar and Mr. Naware Shastri. In the very beginning this Institution got very good outlet and guideline for the fast development by the secretaries like Mr. A.D.Deshpande, Mr. S.G.Kulkarni, Mr. C.G.Kulkarni and the government officers like Mr. Rao Saheb V.G.Chavan, Mr. Rao Saheb D.M.Bhosale, Mr. Rao Saheb D.B.Mali, Mr. Rao Saheb Mhamulat Hakim and by the Presidents like Barrister Kelkar, Mr. M.B. Lohiya. These respect worthy honorable people took, this institute to a great climax of educational progress. From the year 1951 to 1994, we got the opportunity that for such a prolonged period late Mr. M.B.Lohiya Saheb was the president of this institution, he himself was a thoughtful of this institution as if it was like an adopted daughter or son to him. He long standing in the task of humanity, he proved himself worthy to be his post. Presently Colonel Mr. A.B.Jadhav (President of this Institution), Mr. Hemarajbhai Samani (President of the Governing Council), Mr. Vinodkumar Lohiya ( Member of the Governing Council and President of the Co-ordination Committee). Mrs. Sheelatai Lohiya, Mr. M.N.Aswale from Nandani Mr. Dadasaheb Mantri from Islampur, Mr. Motilal Malu and Babulal Malu from Jaysingpur, Mr. Vasudevaji Goyanka from Mumbai and all other Members are carrying out and leading this institution this institution successfully. Because of the people this Institution has got their educational work spread out in Maharashtra.In the history of education in south Maharashtra, this Institution has kept their high standards and name and fame and the place in the first class Education.
Nearly about 16,000 students are taking their education per year and 500 teachers are teaching their students in several places with great motivation, with high purpose and constructing their fate. All the buildings of Primary Schools, High Schools and Colleges owned by the institution. All they have imposing building, sufficient ground, well equipped laboratory and library. From the very beginning this institution has kept very nice splendid records in education quality and merit. For example, if we consider the records of last some of the years of 10th and 12th standard results of the Board Examination, it may show us that, many students of this institution have taken place in the merit list. At the same time in the Scholarship examination our students proved their quality and stood in merit list on state level. Our students have also achieved remarkable success in the field of art, culture, music, sports, and science exhibition. The Institution has brought a school bus for the dumb students in V.M.Lohiya Vidyalaya. At the same time the institution has undertaken a task of constructing building for the speech laboratory and work-shop and laboratory, sewing hall, sanifon block for the prince’s Padmaraje Girls High-school, Kolhapur. Now it is going to complete within some days. Inspite of this the institution has started English Medium School (ungranted). Because of the board of trustees, honorable governing council members, honorable secretary Shri. V.M. Kulkarni, Joint secretary Shri. G.N.Kulkarni, Dr. S.R.Katti, all Principals, head masters and teachers and non teaching staff leading this institution successfully.
